what is sunhacks?

Founded in 2018, sunhacks is an annual hackathon (technology ideathon, coding marathon, software/hardware prototyping marathon, etc) based out of Arizona State University. Designed to support students of all skills levels in their personal development, sunhacks also facilitates workshops, mentorship by working professionals, connection with the broader tech community, and a peer-based community of practice oriented towards helping students mutually succeed and achieve their goals.

who can hack?

sunhacks is built for students of all skill levels. Full eligibility, registration, and attendance details will be shared when registration opens.

do I need a team?

Participating solo will be allowed, but we encourage you to come with teammates or find people to build with at the event. Full team size and project submission details will be announced closer to launch.

I don't know how to code / I don't think I'm good enough

You are absolutely welcome. sunhacks is an open community, and we build the event around helping new hackers ask questions, learn quickly, and find support.
